How to Apply

Application Process
  • Step 1: Fill out and submit application form and pay application fee
  • Step 2: Audition or submit video audition
  • Step 3: Provide high school transcripts, resume, and two or more reference letters from arts professionals (teachers, directors, choreographers, performers, etc.) by August 15th deadline.
  • Step 4: Final acceptance and a $500 non-refundable registration fee which is applied to the tuition
Fees due by first week of program:
  • Others costs, including demo reel: $900
  • Balance of the tuition
  • In addition to fees, students should also expect to need additional supplies including tap shoes, books, and other class materials.

Application academic requirements:

  • An official high school transcript (or an interim transcript if you are in the process of completing high school). Minimum 55% in Grade 12 English or CAST entry exam score of 60%
  • Applicants for whom English is a second language: adequate proof of English speaking and writing proficiency, ex. CAST exam.

Audition Guidelines

  • You will be required to present one song and one monologue. Please have both pieces committed to memory.
  • Your song must be from the musical theatre repertoire and be no more than 3 minutes in length, you may use a backing track or sing acapela. There will be a device to play this on in the room.
  • Your monologue should be no more than 2 minutes in length and should be from a contemporary play. Please try to keep within your age bracket when considering which monologue to choose.
  • Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear to participate in a short workshop.
  • There will be a chance at the end of the session to ask any questions you may have about the program.
  • We hope the day will be as informative, fun and relaxed as possible!

Credit card payment of CAD$25.00 payable to the 'Visionary Centre for the Performing Arts'. (VCPA must receive this payment in order to grant an audition spot.)

A photograph to be used for identification purposes by audition panel (any photograph will be fine, don't stress on the quality)
